{"id":4108,"date":"2015-04-24T10:50:57","date_gmt":"2015-04-24T07:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.daivarepeckaite.com\/?p=4108"},"modified":"2017-10-09T09:06:06","modified_gmt":"2017-10-09T06:06:06","slug":"hanami-in-kaunas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.daivarepeckaite.com\/en\/2015\/04\/hanami-in-kaunas\/","title":{"rendered":"Hanami in Kaunas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Feeling very nostalgic about my proper hanami in Tokyo in 2009, I attended a Japanese Embassy \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/en.aup.nl\/series\/new-mobilities-in-asia\" target=\"_blank\">Sugihara<\/a> Museum event in Kaunas, where a Japanese performance artist Kirie Oda cooperated with Lithuanian violinist and singer to create a performance around Sugihara House, which used to be the Japanese consulate before WWII and now hosts a Sugihara museum, foundation, and VMU Centre for Asian Studies.
